Obesity ?

If America is so worried about obesity then why don't they ban junk foods? Why do they let the schools serve it? And why don't the parents put their children on a healthy diet?

the simple answers is greed, ignorance, and free will.

cant ban freedoms, greed drive it in schools, and most parents dont understand what is "healthy"!

Good Question! here's what I think
America isn't worried about obesity, fat foods make people sick, they contain several chemicals in it. When people get sick they go to the doctor. That's what I think the government wants. The medical industry makes billions of dollars a year, if people dont get sick, the gov. will be losing lots of money. It's all about the money. It's sad to say but this is a greedy country.

I don't know why this hasn't occurred to you, but people have the right to eat whatever they want, even if that means being fat. You don't have to make a law every time someone does something that's unwise. The government isn't our mommy or daddy and it shouldn't be allowed to tell us what to do when our decisions don't violate the rights of others.

1....this is still a free country.....what you're advocating is what they have in countries with a dictatorship

2....most schools do not sell junk foods....but the children can bring it with them..

3....you can put your children on a healthy diet if you know what a healthy diet is.....a lot of people don't.

bc junk food makes money
cause parents are lazy
kids are spoiled
and they'll probably sue the school if the kids dont get what they want

but note
they dont HAVE to eat any of that stuff
its not the goverments fault as much as it is the peoples.

Because people get educate in the TV and fruits, vegetables, and real food cannot afford to advertise them self.
Is all about money, whole foods cannot make someone too much money, junk foods can make alots of money for some people.

in california they got rid of a lot of junk food in school. like they used to have french fries and everything

that's the million dollar question !!

well this is a very good question that alot of people want answers to so if u look it up on the web maybe you will find the corect answer..
