Is morbid obesity considered hip these days?

I'm 5'8", about 400 lbs. Since Americans are getting bigger as a whole, am I part of a new hip trend?

You and me both! We'll be stars, GREAT BIG STARS.

No, I can't see it being a trend as long as fashion designers continue to design for the figure of a heroin addict. Source(s): My weight loss and exercise blog:

No, but many more people these days are morbidly obese. Speak to your doctor about a diet and fitness plan that suits you.
im sorry but no. in my opinion it is not 'hip' to be obese...considering all the health problems that one will have if they are overweight. i dont think size or weight is a measure of who a person is...but its just not healthy.
no, that is bad for your health=its not a trend just people are excercizing less
It'll never be hip especially since it's pretty unhealthy. bigger is only better when it means you've spent more money on it. sorry
no your not part of a hip trend...unless dying young from heart failure is hip.
