How is obesity linked to cancer?



I am only doing GCSE so plese don't be too complex.

Some forms of fat are supposed to have estrogen making potential, that may be a factor in hormone related cancers like breast.
The relationship of obesity and high blood pressure and diabetes is stronger than the relationship to cancers.

Meanwhile, a recent Yale study found that severely obese women are more than three times as likely to have their breast tumors detected at a later, less treatable stage of the disease. Most Americans eat a high fat diet which includes lots of fats and sugar. Cancer loves sugar.

adipocytes secrete some cytokines like tumor necrosis factor alpha that stimulate inflammatory and degenerative reactions which may lead to some cancers.
also in obesity there is alot of undigested material the putefaction of which produce toxins which may lead to cancer colon.
