Is there an obesity pandemic in America?

Its certainly a serious issue, and not just in the USA.
Its probably the result of spare cash, high fat and sugar foods available on every street, takeaway meals, and lack of exercise. Oh and of course all those adverts on TV for that yummy burger or pizza!

Not yet, but it's certainly getting there. But it's not just America. Every country that is heavily industrialized with spoiled children is becoming filled with obese and overweight people.
well, with portian sizes getting bigger, more fat in foods, and a lot of people who are over weight, i would say yes. but even though people are a bigger then what they were years ago, there is awareness being brought out to the open and people are eating better and exercising more.
personly, being naturally underweight, i don't give this much of a thought, but my uncle being very overweight and seing him strugle with everyday things i've started to watch what i eat.
but overall, i think there is but i'm sure with every black area a white one comes into view...and reach.
