Is it possible for obesity to be hereditary?



I thought it had to do with diet, but I was told that's not the case.

It's possible that genes can make you more suseptable to becoming fat; but to be obese still takes a bad diet and no exercise, except in rare cases. Genes get used as an excuse way to often.

Yes. there is a way around it. The best thing you can do is to eat right and most importantly it do exercise daily. as much as you can get in. try 30 minutes to an hour. then go for an hour. Soon, your heart rate will get better, keep things moving better. Even small things help out. sitting, then standing, stnading on on foot for balance. Just expand into many ideas. just keep moving.
