How does Mcdonalds contribute to obesity in america?

McDonalds and many other fast food establishments have played a role in the growing problem of obesity all over North America. Not only do they serve very high fat food, but they also promote the "super size" meals. Consider that one Big Mac has 560 claories with 30 grams of fat. Add to that the 350 calories and 16 grams of fat in a medium fries, and their smallest chocolate shake at 440 calories and 10 grams of fat and you have a lot of calories and fat. Even the salads recently included in the menu are not low fat other than the plain side salad. The fruit and walnut salad is 310 calories with 13 grams of fat, and that is one of the best ones.

They sell food. People who eat too much food gain weight.
I really don't think that Mcdonalds contributes to obesity... its all about choice! People have the option of eating out, fast food, cooking at home etc... So i think its people's choices that contribute to obesity.
Are you kidding me? the are proven to be the most fat-filled fast food joint in the world. im not saying all of our obysity is liked back to them but for kids i would say it is almost. plus half the things we eat now have tons of **** in them.
If you're going to eat McDonald's fat (or any fast food restaurant),your body has no choice but to follow suit. You are what you eat! (McD's fat happens to taste pretty good, though)
