Any medical help to overcome obesity?

My wife is trying to lose weight and has tried many times, she knows all about calories, fat content etc, her problem is in her mind.
She can not resist large portions and as no self control or will power, she is at the end of her tether.
Can anyone help?

There is a realitevly new tablet come onto the market called Orlistat otherwise known as Xenical.

It works by preventing you from absorbing all of the fat content in a meal.
The side effects are not very pleasant...
but you can read about it here...http://www.xenical.com/

You can get help & support, including low fat recipes, exercise ideas & plenty of support from other people in the same situation as you by clicking on the link below

I am not the webmaster or anything officially to do with promoting the site. I'm just an ordinary Mum who would like to lose weight for my health.

Good luck. There is no magic cure to weight loss you just have to keep trying. Source(s): Source(s):

Do it for herself, not to please anyone else & she will succeed.
gastric bypass?
wont be able to eat large portions then.
In a way I feel sorry for your wife, but its not pity she needs... What she needs more than any diet or exercise tips is your love and support... Thats half the battle! Good luck to you both.
Gastric banding or bypass, or she could try a clinic for weight loss.
Has she tried slimming world? As you can have large portions :o) My will power is terrible and I still managed to lose 5 stone! If she has a chat with her GP he can give her xenical if she's suitable. I know it's hard but it can be done. If she needs help she can always E-mail me x
