This finding is consistent with their previous report that substance abuse or alcoholism is a disease as well. In reality, both "bad habits" are a behaviour issue that can be corrected and reversed with human effort. This effort is too stressful for most Americans.

It isn't simply the obese person that is adversely affected by their obesity. It is their family as well, probably because the problem, or disease, is familial - 1. coming from a line of family obesity, or 2. affecting the rest of the family with a family member with poor health, ridicule, judgement, and possible restrictions of family food because of the obese person's disorder.
Obesity is a major cause of heart disease, bone disorders, organ failure, asthma, sleep apnia, etc.. It robs a person of energy and vitality. It contributes to a negative self perception, which leads to depression, suicide, and mental disorder.
Sometimes people perpetuate their obesity because of these hopeless and negative conceptions of themselves, or the ignorant attitudes of people like yourself that they face on a daily basis.
Alcoholism and drug abuse are not simply bad habits, nor are sex addiction, gambling addiction, addiction to power and dominance, or addiction to stupid - as you seem to suffer from.
Look up the definition of DISEASE in a medical dictionary. It is simply put as "dis-ease".
It seems to me that you need to learn a great deal about life before you go making extreme judgements like you have made here.
