Is there a problem with childhood obesity and what can we do to prevent it?

Yes there is. We need to get kids more active. Kids spend too much time watching TV and playing video games. They should spend more time playing outside. Fast food is also a problem, it is high in fat with little nutrition.
Stop acting out of guilt and over feeding our kids!
there is nothing good or right about childhood obesity it destroys self esteem and your sets your child up for bad health as for preventing it we can do everything to prevent it dont give your child things like kool aid soda chips take out food chocolates cookies yes for birthdays a cakes is good but in everyday life theres no need for these sweets only feed your children nutritional food like unsweetend pure orange juice vegetables fruits chicken (not fried) not only will feeding them nutritous food and keeping your child active keep them healthy now but in the future they will be healthy and when they have children of there own they will pass on there healthy habits
No, let your children eat and do what they want (exercise wise). Children only have one childhood before they have to go out into the world of un-fairness and work!
