What is the medical complication of obesity on the Kidneys?

My daughter is in medical school and recently told me about the kidney she removed from her cadaver. It was about 10x the normal size. She asked the professor what was wrong. After they did research, they realized the kidney was wrapped in layers and layers of fat. She said it was really disgusting.

Obesity can also lead to kidney stones, kidney cancer and kidney failure. Diabetes, linked to obesity, also can cause kidney problems. Source(s): http://english.aljazeera.net/nr/exeres/4...
It wreaks havoc on them and makes em work harder.
