Where can i get help for my obesity???? |
im a 15 year old girl im 5'7 and i weigh 305 lbs. i need to find help other than weight watchers to lose the wight where can i find the hlep that i need im becoming really depressed and im at the point of maybe death if i dont do something about it help please!!!! Glad you want to do something about it. First, don't freak out. No matter the solution it will take time and work. Second, have you seen a doctor to make sure it's not a gland thing? Something medical? If you have thyroid problems it can cause you to be overweight, although it's only in a very very small percent of people If it's not a medical condition then you will need to get exercise to burn off the weight and you will need to change your eating habits to change the intake to your body. It would be best if you could consult a trainer for a work out routine to get you going and a dietician to help you come up with new eating habits. The hardest part will be to follow through with it. For the exercise (see a trainer if you can) walking, jogging, elyptical workouts, stair steppers, etc are a great way to go. They will get your heart pumping and burn calories. If you can do that 5-6 days a week. SInce you want to burn a lot and fast, at least an hour a day. Giving your body a day off for rest is a good thing. Your body does need the occasional day of rest. For the food you will need to most likely change what you eat, how often you eat and how much you eat. Consutly a dietician if you can. Don't eat candy, cookies, peanut butter, ice cream, or any toher deserts. Don't eat foods high in fat. Eat fruits and vegatables. Eat breakfast (in the first hour after you get up) as it will kick your metabolism in gear for the day. Then when you eat, make it small amounts and at least 5 times a day. These small amounts 5 times a day will keep your metabolism running at a higher level and that will help burn away the fat. There is much more to this than anyone here can write. Finially, find someone to encourage you in what you are doing and help you when you loose will power in trying. You will need a buddy on this. It won't be easy, it will take hard work, in the end it will be worth it. Try here http://weight-loss.fitness.com/... dont eat so much Losing weight is a hard thing to do but it can be done. Don't give up. I'm still trying. Maybe it would be easier if we had someone to share the same experience with. You can write me if you want. Maybe we can help each other. babybuttercup2@yahoo.com Either go to a camp for obese people or ask you parents if they will splurge on a on your pesonal physical director or whatever, I might not know you but if you feel as if you want to die thn maybe i can help you. email poeticmagnet@yahoo.com you can look into getting gastric bypass surgery. (i don't know if you even want to pursue the surgery route). they are starting to perform it on teenagers (there was a special on this on discovery health channel) however, it is difficult to try to find a doctor that will. most health insurance companies are starting to cover it too. you also might want to get your thyroid checked. that could possibly be one reason why you've gained weight. some people are limited to certain diets their whole lives depending on this. i would start in the phone book looking for doctors that perform the surgery and ask them their opinion on your situation and see if its an option. you can also look up diaticians in the phone book and see what they recommend. |
