What products can be used to fight obesity?

I have a friend that is 4' 11" and weighs over 250 pounds. She is truly a sweetheart of a person. She doesn't wish to undergo surgery to correct this condition.

Tapeworms help you lose weight.
diet sodas to substitute for sodas, and excercises. TONS OF EXCERCISES.
She could try diet pills, though things could go wrong there. Has she tried Weight watchers? If not tell her to try it. If you have any question about it e-mail me at vanilla53402@yahoo.com. Good Luck!
workout, dance vidoes!!
diet and exercise are the best choices. If it is truly necessary, a doctor can prescribe something that will help, but even then you would need both diet and exercise for it to be effective. Start slowly, focusing on having more fruits and vegis, less meat and fatty foods. After a while, she can start to gradually cut back on the amount of food, and as she does her stomach will shrink and she will become fuller faster. For exercise, she should start out with walking 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes at a time and yoga, for increased muscle tone and flexibility. She should drink water regularly throughout the day. She could add a little lemon or try a flavored water if plain water isn't to her liking. After a little time, she should start with light weight lifting 2-3 times a week, since this adds muscle in place of fat, which burns a lot more calories than fat does. That way her metabolism will be faster throughout the day, allowing her to burn more calories all the time. Good Luck.
P.S. ignore anyone who suggests the Atkins diet. It is a fad that only results in water loss, makes you very sick, and is extremely unhealthy. The only weight lost will be water, which is very bad.

Eat less, exercise first some and then more. Everyone thinks cardio is the best way to do this..and you should do some cardio..BUT the #1 way to lose weight and keep it off is weight lifting. Get some professional guidance--hire a personal trainer. Muscle burns fat. She needs to start slow and gradually increase.

Women are usually afraid of getting too muscular...like the women body builders..You friend has no chance of that. The women who get themselves into freak shape make a monsterous dedicated effort over a long period of time to do so.

She did not get fat overnight and she will not get lean overnight either. This must be a change for the rest of her life. If she doesn't do this her life may not be that much longer anyhow...and it will likely be made increasingly complex by the numerous diseases (diabetes, cancer, heart damage, etc.) that stem from morbid obesity.
However, if she makes changes she will start seeing results and will likely extend her life expectancy and it's quality.

The surgery is barbaric and dangerous, so are tape worms.

Drink water not soda or diet soda. If she gets bored with water squeeze some lemon into it or make a plain cup of tea.

Atkins will work for a while but it is hard to stick to and while your friend no doubt eats too many carbs, we all need some of them...just not the "simple carbs"...what she needs is a modest amount of "complex carbs." If you are she don't know the difference break out Google and look it up.
