What strategies would be used to cope with obesity? Are you trying to cope with obesity or work to manage it or rid yourself of it? My negative ways of coping with obesity was to cut, drink, binge, and drug myself as much as possible. My positive ways were recognizing that I am a good person regardless of my weight. I just took an inventory of everything I did in life (pretending that I had no physical body) and evaluated the kind of person I was. I also listed the pros and cons of being so obese one day (yes, there are both). Then I listed the pros and cons of being a healthy weight. I assigned values to all of these and compared (message me for more details on how to use this system for any choice you need to make, having more than 1 option). It became clear based on my values and dreams that not being obese was the better choice. I devised a plan and stuck to it - and yes, it started with a daily goal of walking 200 steps <I was very very obese>. I can walk over 12000 a day now. It's a long journey, but if it's what you want, it's worth it...........
