1.) What percent of cancers are related to obesity?

2.) what interplay of factors influence the promotion of cancer?

Obesity is clearly a risk factor for many cancers.

A fundamental factor that influences the promotion of cancer is chronic inflammation. Inflammation is known to be a driver of all three stages of the carcinogenesis process: initiation, promotion and progression.

Obesity is well known to be associated with high levels of chronic, systemic inflammation.

Best wishes.
No matter what is said, probably none.
Obesity and physical inactivity may account for 25 to 30 percent of several major cancers鈥攃olon, breast (postmenopausal), endometrial, kidney, and cancer of the esophagus .

In 2002, about 41,000 new cases of cancer in the United States were estimated to be due to obesity. This means that about 3.2 percent of all new cancers are linked to obesity .

A recent report estimated that, in the United States, 14 percent of deaths from cancer in men and 20 percent of deaths in women were due to overweight and obesity

have a great day
The exact number in percentage I cannot actually state, and there may not even be an exact number in existence to date anyway.
However, there are lots of studies that indicate that the inflammatory state that obesity is definitely increases one's odds of developing cancer, particularly in a genetically susceptible individual.
The most prominent cancers that obesity is associated with are the ones in which sex hormones play a large role: prostate, breast, and ovarian cancers to name a few. A new proposal in research of obesity is that the adipose tissue (fat) plays a role as an endocrine organ itself, which means that fat secretes substances that have the classical function of hormones in the body (a chemical signal that has an effect on tissues far outside of itself, causing cascades of effects).
That fat plays a role in the endocrine game, is significant. Like anything, too much of a good thing can become bad.
By lowering inflammatory status (hence, losing the amount of weight possible after a bariatric surgery) one's odds of developing cancer can decrease considerably.
Including anti-inflammatory foods in one's diet are another way to provide yourself an insurance policy of protection.
You can't change your genetics, however you can rise to meet it.
