Can cosmetic surguries after gastric bypass operation for obesity be included in medical expenses? |
My wife had gastric bypass surgury and now two cosmetic surguries to remove the excess skin, that resulted from great loss of weight. No more diabetes, etc. Can this type of cosmetic surguries be allowed as an acceptable medical expense for income tax in 2006? Probably. I guess it would depend on whether or not the excess skin was causing problems such as irritations, abscesses, etc. Just call a local tax office and ask about it. Most are likely to just tell you. |
