I have heard that more Americans die from obesity each year than by smoking-related issues......?

is this true and does anyone have a reference about this subject?

this is a non-educated answer but if you think about it, it makes sense.

smoking causes cancer, high blood pressure and emphazima.

being overweight causes high blood pressure, stroke, heart attacks, diabetes, high cholesterol and on and on and on.....
there are much more complications and other health risks caused by being overweight. so it's not being overweight in general that causes the death but something that became because of being overweight!

does that make sense?
that is a relief ,the smoking was beginning to kill me .
just have to lay of the 莽hocolate
Most smoking victims live through their pain, but with severe consequences.

But in Indiana, being the second fattest state and number one smoking state in America...us Hoosiers are screwed.
Non of our health officials can get together on the same page. Some groups swear that smoking kills more Americans than obesity, drunk driving or drug overdoses combined.

Another group of health officials swear the same for obesity, another group swears the same for drunk driving, another group one thing and then another. Whatever a particular group's agenda is - thats what kills more Americans than anything else.

Why? More $$$ in the form of funding for research. The only thing that is certain, is all of them kill far too many people - even one is too many.
