My boyfriend is slowly eating his way to obesity? |
And I have no idea how to motivate him to exercise and eat healthy. He is an energy drink addict, drinks 5 cans of coca-cola per day, eats a bag of chips a day, loves anything with sugar and grease. He also loves Chinese food. He said he doesn't care about his weight and somehow likes to show off how horrible is diet is. "Oh yea? Well I can chug a case of Bawls in an hour" "IVE GOTTA EAT EVERY SINGLE LITTLE MORSEL OF FOOD LEFT!" He's addicted to the computer (brings it to the dinner table and everywhere else) and video games. He won't come outside with me. He just hates to move. He has gained 50 pounds in two years (since we started dating.) He's now 5'9 and 208 pounds, and it just keeps going up. I have no idea how to help him, as he is very stubborn, but I love him, and I can not let him get obese, he already has heart problems, and I couldn't stand to see what other health issues are coming his way. Please help? Thanks in advance. I would say start doing the cooking, and cut his portion sizes, so even if he "has to eat every morsel" then its not that much. start doing the grocery shopping, and only buy low fat chips, and stuff like that, wean him slowly, have him try coke zero. tell him you want to dance with him, dancing burns lots of calories, slowly introduce faster songs, you will have a blast....... Good luck , and btw, don't be so mean to others when you give advice...... Look on the bright side there is more of him to love! On a serious note, take him to the doc. If he doesn't care then it may be time to find a new boyfriend. Someone who doesn't even care about himself won't care about others Find out why he acts this way. It may be hidden fron his mind? Tell him that he needs to knock it off or your out. Who does the shopping? Don't buy him any junkfood. he will not be obese if he will exercise daily and love is blind You can't force him to care. Just start eating healthy around him, and offer to cook for him (not telling him how healthy it is). Or find a new one. |
