Is the general dislike of smokers applicable to obesity? |
Several years ago it was very common and had a "cool" distinction to it. However, nowadays it seems most people can't stand smoking whether its the health aspects or activity itself. Do you think this same trend in thought can be applied to obesity? Will general opinion change so much that people will alter their eating habits like many smokers have done? In essence, do you think down the road obesity will correct itself or will it continue to impact us unless external measures are taken (i.e., government activity)? Smokers have been sent out into the streets to partake in their habit. They are treated like the new lepers of society. With the tremendous push towards a healthy lifestyle, I think that people viewed as being overweight will be seen with the same disdain as has become the case with smokers. Many people are of the mind that smoking is a choice and you can quit if you really want to. It's not that simple. Neither is eating. I can see the same societal mindset being cast on the overweight in the assumption that you choose to be fat and you could lose the wait if you really tried. It won't change anyone or make anyone thin. In the land of packaged food, fast food, hot food at 1:00 am from the driver thru... we are just going to get collectively heavier. With the state of the world, it's kinda sad that these are the causes that motivate us.obesity causes more health problems than smoking Are you retarded? Fat people is sloppy Eventually, when the Illuminati gets all old "useless" people put to death via euthanasia and then aborts all possible "deformed" fetuses and allows genetic selection from stem cells of those aborted fetuses, they will begin a campaign to euthanize fat people as their life will not be deemed "quality" enough and a financial burden on Hillary Clinton's National Governmental Health Care. |
