Is iceberg lettuce responsible for the rise in obesity and globalisation?

Think carefully before you answer.

Is iceberg lettuce the healthy ingredient in MacDonald's, by any chance?

Later:

Eat the lettuce and chuck the rest in the bin provided, and you'll always fit comfortably into your nice outfits for the rest of your long and healthy life.
No, but I heard that with global warming iceberg lettuce is at risk of going extinct.
Yes, should use a garden mix instead, and it tastes better.
definitely hope this helps
Well this is just a rumor, but I heard that iceberg lettuce is teaming um with...radishes...yes radishes, in an attempt to take over the garden from tomato and carrot. It will be interesting to see how that one turns out.
Strangely enough...the lettuce was first cultivated in what is now Iran & Iraq...dont know if this is even relevant.
I do know that lettuce turning brown is the worst way to get e-coli if you eat it. They had a few cases in pre packaged salads, of people catching it when they ate it. So be careful next time you see wilting lettuce in the supermarket reduced items.
