Is the food insustry responsible for the problem of obesity in America?

what is a pro and con of the food insustry dealing with obesity

IMHO, food industry is partially responsible for this problem. I think it is the parents who should responsible for this problem.
Bad parents do not concern what kind of food their kids eat and do not help them to build up a good attitude towards healthy eating. This is indeed a social problem.
I believe that we are all responsible for our own choices. We make the choice to put something into our mouths. As Americans we like to have someone else to blame. It's never our fault. Sure, the food industry makes things which in one serving can consume your entire calorie intake for a day, but we can also read the facts.

I'm not sure what you mean by a pro and con of the food industry dealing with obesity. How does the food industry deal with obesity? I think the people who deal with obesity are obese people, insurance companies and government programs.
