If the UK government is so bothered about the obesity problem? |
Why can school children go to Mcdonalds and the local supermarkets for their dinners...i see them in our local morrisons buying big packs of doughnuts, cakes, packets of buscuits etc....Mcdonalds is opposite the supermarket and it's packed with them at dinner...shouldn't they all be made to eat school meals or go home for dinner the gov has no right to force parents to make their kids eat in a particular way, in my opinion the fact that the gov are closing down school play fields and not making sport compulsory is more of an important issue. people are more concerned with obesity rather than health, you can be skinny & very unhealthy is what a lot of people forget! exercise is key People just get lazier and lazier when it comes to cooking good, healthy meals. Few are able to buy meat, fish, vegetables and other fod to cook in the house. Absolutely. And while they eat their school lunch they should be made to watch "Half Ton Hospital". I watched it for the first time last night and if it isn't enough to put anyone off being a pig then I don't know what is. Trouble is, kids don't think to the future, they can only see the present, and none of them would think of themselves as a heart-attack victim. french schools provide a set meal every day which most children have.they dont get burgers and chips . its good healthy food. uk schools should be the same jamie oliver tried and failed to get things changed. its down to bad parenting now. its easier to feed junk to children. ban junk food. ban bernard matthews. promote veg. and fruit . ha ha it wont happen but i dont know why |
