Does reducing the sugar content in soft drinks help obesity?

Does reducing the sugar content in soft drinks help obesity?

Hell no. In fact I've read online that diet beverages (especially diet soda) stimulate the appetite. I've been drinking nothing but diet soft drinks for the past 5 years and it doesn't help. In my case tho, I don't drink them because of the reduced calorie content, I drink them because I'm addicted to them and prefer the taste. I can't stand sugar sweetened soft drinks.
no but it increases sales to fat people because they think it does
hardly...soft drinks still have water retaining chemicals that help people to become obese
yes i think so
Absolutely!! It is also good for your kidneys, and if you are a diabetic... Your liver, remember is "the welcome center of your body, it meets & greets everything you put in your mouth. I am sure your body will thank you for consuming less sugar:)
Not really...
yes, but reducing the sugar content is not the only way to reduce obesity. You have to have well pepared portions and home cooking to loose weight as well as exercise. I have a friend who lived with me for a while and lost 60 pounds after discovering she was diabetic. she moved out and weighs more
