Do you believe that enough is being done to fight obesity and child-onset diabetes in America?

I believe that these issues are one of the more important issues because they relate to our health!

Not as long as children are being fed fast food by parents who are too tired to go home and cook at night after working all day. This is how the fast food industry caught on in America in the first place. It was an easy way for moms to get something quickly for their families to eat before it was found out that all the fat, salt, and sugar was in the food. Then they started upsizing the drinks and fries. Same thing goes with the snacks that children are allowed to eat in large amounts. During holiday events at school, you would not believe the junk candy that comes home with the kids that they were given by the homeroom moms. Along with letting them sit in front of a computer, TV, or X-BOX playing games instead of getting outside playing or going and being on a sports team.

Now that the parents are not taking this seriously enough, the government is threatening to step in to protect the children and charge parents with child abuse. It is too bad it takes something like this to make parents feed their children responsibly.
Obviously not, since it's just getting worse.
I believe that letting your child become morbidly obese should be just as much neglect as not feeding them at all.
More could be done to fight obesity. Parents in America r notorious for being workoholics and buy fast food for their kids all the time, so the kids get bad habits and the parents gain wieght. Ppl need to buy more lean cuisines since all u do is cook it for 5 to 6 minutes then ur done. The lean cuisines actully taste pretty good. Also ppl need tospend more quality time outdoors and less watching TV and playing video games. Unless the video game is dance dance which is a good workout and fun. Pretty much ppl just need to get in some activity when they get home like sports yoga watevr. There is no excuse for lazyiness.
