Where can I find information on how to participate in an Obesity study?

I don't have the money for gastric by pass surgery and can not seem to lose weight so I would like to participate in a clinical study of obsesity that would help me lose weight.

Yahoo Health has some great resources.
You can search by ailment or area.
I will include the links below.

Hope this helps. Source(s): http://health.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=arus...

All the surgeries that are already being done won't be offered in a clinical setting. You might be able to find one for a new diet pill or a diet, but there is a 50% chance (or more depending on how the study is set up) that you will get a placebo or be in the control group. Read the Sunday paper and the small weeklies for the cities in your area which have large hospitals--they advertise their studies.
I can tell you that I am very obese and I called about a local obesity study and was told I was TOO FAT to be in it.
