Did they really turn Cookie Monster into Veggie Monster because of childhood obesity?


In my opinion, it ain't going to change a thing. All it did was mess sesame street up. Recently, sugar has been banned at my school even on Halloween and Valentines Day. If you posses the substance, you are nailed as if you have crack or something. Of course, the fat people are still fat, and the skinny ones are still skinny. In my small opinion, its all up the the parents.

Aw, I hope Cookie Monster remains Cookie Monster! Didn't "Sesame Street" debut in the 70's? I don't think kids had a weight issue back then. I wouldn't blame it on the cute furry blue guy! Maybe it has to do with kids getting less exercise nowadays...

i thought it was because of its an addiction and they dont want kids to get addicted to anything, i mean look they killed off bert so kids could see what death was like.. how can they do that? i loved cookie monster cuz of the way he eats cookies, i though it was hell funny but now there are people out there who dont agree with what they are doing? what next? is oscar the grouch going to own his own home instead of living in a trash can? whats that tell ya? theres always something to eat in the garbage hehehe
I'm pretty sure he's still called cookie monster, he just likes to eat healthy now...what fun is that?

Yes -unfortunately- they did turn him into ha veggie (healthy cookie eating) monster.
They think that he's the reason for childhood obesity, so they got him to go on a diet.
Sad isn't it?
