If i were president what do you think that i should do about obesity?

and this is just a question for homework
so nobody get offended ok?

Tax the fast food industry, just like they tax the tobacco industry
Nothing, it is all a matter of choice.
it is not in the purview of the government to dictate to people what they should or should not eat. (except that it should be food.)

you should butt out and let people live or die as they choose. it's not up to you to decide.
Open government run health clubs. Some people don't join the gym because it's expensive.

Some guy up there mentioned a "fat tax"...sure do that...but use the tax to actually do something to combat the problem...

fat tax=free gym.
place a tax based on poundage
Eat less and excercise.

More seriously- some speeches to put some more attention on the problem and draw attention to groups and businesses that are working on it. Government interference in the marketplace (like banning certain foods or taxing them, etc, is not a good idea)
Get rid of trans fats, preventive maintenance on health.
