Should governments ban junk food and soft drinks from schools to tackle childhood obesity? |
See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/428... A similar ban is being introduced in the Australian state of Victoria They should, but parents should take a greater role in educating their children about food and controlling what they eat. People like to blame everyone else but themselves for their faults. yeah before obesity becomes uncontrollable depend if your fat, you should not eat junk food but if your not overweight you could eat junk food but not a lot For sure, I dont know what the hell it was ever doing there in the first place. We NEVER had that kind of food in school when I was young, and we were better for it. No, but parents should demand healthy food options for their children. It is not the government's job to make all of our decisions for us. yes...and they should only allow students to buy 1 lunch, and not have seconds...They should also offer more healthy versions of foods. I think they need to limit "sweet" desserts to one or two days a week. Obviously kids aren't learning enough about good eating habits at home, so school is the next best place. I dont think thats a good idea because it will affect those kids who dont seem to have a problem with obesity and usually reward themselves with a little something once in a while. I think the real problem are the parents. The parents need to be more responsible in encouraging their children to make healthy choices and excercise. I think I just heard the ice cream truck, gotta go! Theyre not taking that away from me!!!! |
