What laws do you think the FDA should make for food manufactures to help reduce obesity in America? |
DO you think any new regulations should be set into place? WHy do you think this hasnt been done already? I don't think the FDA should have any laws to help reduce obesity. Why is it that people think it is the food manufacturers fault for being obese? People should educate themselves on how to live a healthy life. A healthy life includes eating properly, eating proportions of food that are relative to their body structure, and exercising regularly. It is NOT the governments fault that people choose to eat food loaded w/ crap, in such proportions that it makes them obese. Learn to cook a decent meal at home w/ natural herbs and spices, NOT sodium filled season mixes. If you can't cook every night due to work schedule, grab a salad to eat on the run, or get some whole grain bread w/ tuna and tomato or lettuce. People need to take some 'effin responsibility for their actions and lifestyle. These people that sue McDonald's and other fast food establishments because they (fast food establishments) are somehow responsible for some kid looking like a bag of dinner rolls, ought to be taken in the back alley and beaten w/ a carrot. Learn some self control America!! Read a book on nutrition! Go for a walk! Get off your **** and stop watching Jerry Springer! Source(s): Have a nice day! make everything from Oreos to Hostess fruit pies fat free, calorie free, and still tatse the same Food shouldn't be called "Lite" or "Light", even if it has less calories, because it often has lots of sugar and therefore doesn't help you stay light! There should be an upper limit on how much salt can be in ready-made foods. There should be stricter guidelines on what types of foods are advertised during childrens' TV programs. No one's going to take on the mammoth food industry in America though. Why is it that you believe the government should keep people from getting fat? If they want to, let them. In my opinion, people should be responsible for their own well being. Where we perhaps fail is in providing them with the knowledge they need to make the correct decisions. If you choose to eat an entire pint of ice cream in one sitting, that is your decision, don't complain when you cannot sit in a standard sized chair because your butt is too big. It is not the food manufacturer's fault for making the food, it is the fault of the person who chose to be a glutton. Food should not be changed, I should not be denied choices because someone else cannot control them self. None!!! The goverment already has their hands in too many affairs of the people. Whay ever happened to PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY? |
