Instead of ultra thin models in magazines, then how would using plus size models help the obesity epidemic? |
what is the "average" "normal" weight that should be used in the media? how can we ever find a balance, and a solution to the problem of weight! will we ever see the end of using skinny anorexic models in advertising? will we ever be able to stop our children becoming obese? are these two issues related or completly different can we solve one issue without creating, making the other worse? they also need petite models. Not the 5'11 anorexia chick or the 200 whale. Just a nice petite women in a normal sz ex 5'3 110 pounds for a model. I can never find petite clothes After careful thought I just came the realization that I just don't care. don't worry someday theres gonna be a really good pill they use the skinny ones cause sex sells. they don't care about fat or skinny people all they see is $$$$$$$ I do not necessarily think we need to replace super thin models with plus size one but having a variety why not girls with hips girls with a little stomach pooch there are plenty of absolutely beautiful women who do not have so called perfect bodys. I don't know, but I think they need to fix the obesity epidemic first. The pickins are getting slimmer and slimmer for us guys. I'm sick of having to pass over 3 or 4 fat girls before I can find one healthy girl who is now conceited because she is such a rare commodity now. aaarrg this is not how it's supposed to be ladies shape up! They have to use skinny beautiful models in advertising and magazines because that is what sells products. Sad but true. Think about it: On commercials, you'll never see a fat person in a snickers commercial or a cheetos commercial, because then people would think that if they eat that product they will become fat too. Advertisers are clever; they know what sells, and right now, and probably forever, that will be skinny beautiful women. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have plus size models in magazines, because they should, but plus sized models just aren't as popular or marketable as their straight sized counterparts. |
