Hi,i want 2 knw y my mom gets blood clot in her veins in both leg and hand she has obesity also,r they related |
Hai guys these details i am asking for my mom so please give valuable answers, she is hesitating to go to hospital so only i am approaching here. Your mother should be very careful with this. She possibly may need to go on to medication. My mother (who is overweight) always experienced blood clots in her legs. She would treat them as they came/went (with heat and massage) until one traveled up her leg, into her heart (where it loged itself) and pieces began breaking off...one to her brain causing a stroke and one to her lung. She now take warafin (blood thinners) and is going for weight loss surgery so she won't have to take them anymore. There is a definite relation between weight and the occurance of clots. Please get your mom to go to her MD...prevention is the best medicine!! Let me tell you...teaching my mom the alphabet, how to read and write (after the stroke) was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. i have a feeling it could b related to cholesterol.please get a thorough check up from a doctor/hospital. it is probably related to the obeseity. my friend has a medical condition where her blood clots and she's not obese. have ur mom visit a doctor to eliminate the extreme. good luck!! |
