How about this a solution for obesity and global warming? |
1. All manufacture that use sugar cut the amount in half they put into their products. Sodas, kids food, candy, etc 2. All that sugar be turn into biofuel. 3. Hook up pedal generators to TVs so if watch TV you have to pedal the generator. Something to think about this Friday during Happy Hour. Lol. oooh...stop stop...my side..lol. Please tell me you are joking because I hate laughing AT people. One quick point. This is American not the USSR. People have a choice in what they buy. Little thing called freedom. The Market would not support if ALL candy soda etc, had half the sugar...the market would not suppor if ALL TVs had a pedal generator. Solution to all the worlds problems - feed the homeless to the hungry ;) not bad....I like mevelyn's answer too :o) Here is my solution to obesity and global warming: Food cost should equal the number of calories per serving. A stalk of celery that is about 10 calories should cost 10 cents. A fatty fast food burger that has 700 calories should cost $7.00. As for global warming, we should revert to an early 1900's mentality and go back to walking, riding bikes, and having a few models of cars to choose from that are energy efficient. Quit outsourcing and return jobs to neighborhoods where people live and work. I think the idea about pedal generators hooked up to TV's is great. Parents could put them in the kids room as a way to make them get exercise but it kind of messes up the idea of a romantic evening in front of the TV. I like Tess's idea (above) but I do a lot of sports and regularly eat 4000 calories a day and when I go off into the mountains and remote areas this can be 7 or 8,000 a day. Could I get a discount or would I have to pay $80 a day to eat crappy high energy food. Lol, an easier solution to both things would veganism. |
