Child Obesity!!!!!?

do you agree that this should be treated as Child abuse/neglect.
one ten year old was so obese that she could only walk a few yards using a stick!!!!!!!

should these children be placed into care?
what other ways could this be dealt with?
what are your views?

Something needs to be done for these children. The parents need educating better on how to feed there children properly.

If it's not a medical condition which cannot be helped yes I think it should. that child will not learn the appropriate diets and exercise plans for later life. They will also be subject to bullying and name calling at school. It's just cruel!
Just roll the kid along. He'll move faster that way.
But, on a slightly more serious note. The parents should get a foot up the rearend for not putting a stop to what ever they're feedin that kid!
Seen 70 year old men need assistance to walk with weight problems, never a 10 year old kid.
I think it's a difficult one, cos parents are scared to let their kids outside on their own to play, so they're not getting as much exercise as they should.

I think it should be considered as abuse if parents do not feed their kids properly - there's no excuse for that. They say "I put veg on their plate and they just leave it". WELL DON'T LET THEM LEAVE IT YOU NUGGETS!!!

People need a bit of common sense.
maybe, down my local shop in the morning you can see the kids buying and eating rubbish for there breakfast, drinking cola and fizzy drinks , then geting in the car to be driven to school, o it's so sad.

who cooks the food and lets those kids get SO much bad food?? parents!

i have a friend that is over weight and her daughter is over weight too. this girl is 8 and weights 130 pounds! that's what i weight! I'm 5'9 this little girl isn't even 5'!
