With the obesity epidemic, should we start using the word "sin" instead of "taste"? |
You know the old saying, what's good for you to eat is what taste's bad? I think we need to do away with the word "taste" in the English language (and equivalents of other languages) and replace it with the word "sin" and give that word a new definition. Maybe this way, it will make people rethink the reasons why they eat particular types of food. For example: Milk Duds are a very sinny candy. Strawberry Pop-Tarts have a great fruity sin to them. Oh, I'd love to sin that new ice cream flavor they have. Fried chicken has that finger lickin' sin that you can get enough of. Don't sin the tofu, just eat it. I think you know what I mean right? Make people THINK! did you JUST make that up? I agree That is one of the STUPIDIST things I have ever heard. i highly doubt it as few people even believe in sin anymore. whatever makes you feel good is the new religion. sad. Make them think about what? Those of us that don't buy into the whole 'sin' idea wouldn't care, and those that do simply wouldn't use the word... Tasting good isn't bad anyway...nor is eating candy or danish...it's OVER eating them that is the problem. Moderation is the key...not trying to scare people away from food as the church tried to scare them into converting and fearing Hell centuries ago. All we need is religion still trying to control people's lives with fear...down to what they eat. *rolls eyes* That's one of the most ridiculous things I've heard on here. Its not up to you to decide what people view as good or bad for their body. If they want to be fat, then they can. Tasting good is not a sin, at all. who do you even think you are for saying that? That means anythign in the world that tastes bad is a sin? THATS RETARDED. "Here, have this sinny apple." "Your broccoli has a delicious sin." HOW DUMB. Here's a thought for you. It's not the tasting, it's not even the food. It's the amounts. You realize of course, hippos are vegetarians, right? And overeating is already covered by a "sin" word. It's called gluttony. And given the state of morality, I'd say the last thing we need to do is confuse eating with the subject. Nothing makes something more attractive than making it sinful. Or haven't you noticed that? |
