Would you help your child lose weight if his life was in danger from the effects of obesity? |
Have you seen "Shaq's Big Challenge". Never knew so many kids were so F*C#ED UP! sure, i'd definitely help my kids if they got to that point. my hope is that they will never get to where the kids on Shaq's reality challenge are. I do think it's important though to emphasize exercise, not diet, and make sure kids know that they are loved no matter what their size. as long as parents provide healthy snacks and plenty of exercise, kids are generally fine. You sound kinda mean....but yeah kids are becoming obese because there are so many new things coming out like computer and video games and Television and all this fast food...parents are becoming too busy to be parents so they buy them pizza. I would never allow my child to even reach that point, not unless his father had genetic problems with obesity. Yes, you should definitely take your child to see an obesity specialist. A medical doctor, not just one of those weight loss places. lol......ummm im not sure probably I would not help him- I would force him to and severely punish him for not losing weight. As he would come from a healthy eating home, if he ate poorly it is his fault and would be just as at fault as if he did poorly in school, ended up causing trouble or got arrested. well my parents arent helping me and im 27 pounds overweight(but not obese). i would help my kids and try myself. |
