Obesity? what is it?

what it Obesity? .. in own words please!

Obesity is based on your body fat percentage. Unfortunately, it is usually calculated off of your BMI. For a woman Obese is when she is over 30 BMI. Here is a helpful little chart

Underweight - Below 18.5
Normal -------- 18.5-24.9
Overweight --- 25-29.9
Obese---------- 30 and above

This is also a link to a website for the CDC. You can calculate your Body mass Index or BMI for either an adult or a child.

The reason I say unfortunately is, because this doesn't work well for athletic people or people who carry a lot of muscle tone. You could have very low body fat and be in great shape, but your BMI could be over 30! Your best bet is really a body scan. You can even get a body composition scale from Tanita that shows you what your actual makeup is. It will give you your weight, but it lets you monitor lean muscle mass as well as fat and water in your body. That way you know exactly what is happening when you step on the scale each day!!

I hope that helped! :o)
It's another word for someone who is over weight.
it means you are overweight
your really really fat!
It means that you are so severely overweight that your size begins to compromise your health.
obesity is when you have to much fat on your body. There is a range for your height and age and if you are over that you are obese, If you are way over that you are morbidly obese which means that you are so fat it can kill you.
A person can be over weight and then they can be severely over weight which is called obese.....obesity.
