Best product for eye allergies? |
for the past month my eyes have been red and itchy. i read some of the answers that said not to get a red-eye formula, but there are about 50 different kinds to choose from. i got clear eyes seasonal relief astringent/lubricant but it BURNS when i use it. what is the best (name and type) of eye drop for this problem. also, i just has an eye exam, so i know i don't have an eye problem but the doc won't call in a prescription w/o me going in. if you have been rubbing your eyes, almost any drop will make them burn when you put it in. They all really consist of the same ingredients so put it in, squeeze something tight during the burn and then go about your day. Try putting the drops in as soon as they start to bother you and the burn may be less. I would suggest you to see an eye specialist because eyes are very sensitive and one shouldn't try remedies by oneself. Then also you can use cotton balls soaked in chilled rose water on you re eye lids ,this will help you in reducing the itchiness. But better go and visit a DOCTOR. It depends on whether it is allergy or just dryness of the eye, or even allergy to preservatives in the eye drops. Does the redness get worse after using the drops? If it is allergy, patanol may help. Dry eyes, try lubricant eye drops. Preservative allergy, use preservative-free drops like tears natural free. |
