Is this eye allergies?................?

when I woke up this morning, my right eye was closed shut, for a minute I thought, oh man, I have pink eye.......but I put warm water on it, and wha-lah, it opened, no swelling and it's fine. Is this what eye allergies do? The air is bad here in the valley and allergy season is in full bloom. Is this allergies?........and yes, I take my make up off every night.........

It could Be that either:

1) your eye has excreted waste (greeney/yellow crsuty substance sometines kown as 'sleep') and has excreted too much therefore glueing your eye shut.

2) Your eyes atre beginning to weep becuase you have hayfever, if so buy some Antihistemine tablets and take 2 a day and that should keep it at bay

sounds like allergies to me, try taking an antihistamine daily, and don't rub it. if is dosent clear up/improve with the antihistamine, call your doctor for advice.
My eyes have been itching me to death! Anytime your eye is red with runny discharge it is considered a form of pink eye. I had to fall asleep with a cool rag over them just to get to sleep and yep every morning they'd be crusty. You need some eye drops call and ask the pharmacist what is the best over the counter or just go see an eye doc.
