My eyes get red from contacts because i have eye allergies?

What should i do to help reduce my eyes from getting red because of the eye allergies and the contacts? I already take antihistamine pills and drops but not much help.

there is not much that you can do. all i can say is just wash out your eyes every so often and keep washing the contacts with a saline solution to insure that none of the allergens are still on them. See what can happen is when a person has allergies, the alergens can get on the back of the contacts, the part that touches the eye, and will continually irrate the all for as long as the contacts are in contact with the eyes. you also could ask your doctor about a stronger type of anti-histamine to help fight off the allergies.
cool it with the contacs and try wearing glasses part time give your eyes a rest
I have terrible eye allergies in the spring and I cannot wear my contacts everyday when I am having my allergies. If there is a day coming up that you know you will want to wear your contacts, use allergy eye drops a few hours prior to putting in your contacts and only wear them for a few hours. I find that allergy pills do not work for the eyes...try a different brand of drops, because I find they work really well for me.
