My eyes are always tearing and often get swollen and itchy. i don't think i have allergies. i use eye drops |
what is my problem.......allergies? 1) Clariton 24 -- works great for my eye allergies 2) Wash your bed sheets often. 3) Don't leave your windows open. 4) Get an allergy test to specify what you're allergic to. It'll be easier to avoid it. Source(s): Woke up on morning with swollen eyes. Found out I was allergic to pollen, and now I have to wash my sheets every week. However, I don't have to take allergy medicine unless I wake up with allergies. I've had to deal with those same symtoms. Sounds like allergies to me - - unless the eye drops you are using are making your eyes irritable... See your dr. You may have plugged tear ducts, and they can put these little tubes in them to hold them open. This will allow the tears to flow out of your eyes and thru your sinuses properly. They can also test you to see if it is allergies. In the meantime, try Benadryl or Claritin to see if you get any relief. Stop using the eye drops, you may be allergic to the preservatives in them, which can cause the symptoms as well. could you be allergic to the eye drops? or it could be an allergy to something you eat, or shampoo or face wash. I would recommend u visit your doctor. Obviously you are allergic to something. You need to see an allergist and get tested to find out what you are allergic to and get some prescription eye drops. Do not use over the counter eye drops for this bad of a reaction as they may be more harmful than good. You probaqbly do have allergies, you just dont know what they are. If you are using eyes drop switch to a brand like Similcon Allergy Eyes. I am not sure about that brand name but it sure helped me out. You might also have what I have which is computer irritation. Use a screen for your monitor if you use the computer alot. Many people have terrible eye problems from not filtering the screen on the computer. These filtering screens can be bought at any computer store. |
