Cat with watery eyes from Allergies? |
Does anyone know how to fix it? Sometimes he has watery eyes I just dont know how to fix it they get really red and irritated. Take him to the vet who will run tests & ask lots of questions abou what kind of plants you have, whether the cat is indoor or outdoor, whether the watery eyes only occur at certain times, etc. Then you will most likely get a prescription for eyedrops which you'll put in his eyes once or twice a day until they are gone or the vet wants to see him again. Source(s): Personal experience TAKE IT TO THE VET Vet is the only answer, do you have a clue what kitty is allergic to? I would contact the vet and make sure that it is just allergies, could be something else. Does Kitty have her shots??????? Hope so.... We have a very special friend,he has also given these symptoms-turning out to be a tooth infection which will aggravate the eye. Of course always around this time of year making us also think that it was allergies.Smell his mouth{or hers} can be a good clue. You might try using newspaper litter. Perhaps the dust from the litter is causing it. Just a little FYI, it may not only be allergies but the human disease conguntivitis ....also known as "pinkeye" comes from cats. Your cat could be suffering from a chronic condition of pinkeye. A vet can perscribe some eye drops to get the situation under control. Just becareful that you always wash your hands after cleaning your cats eyes. Best of luck to you and your cat. |
