Does a toddler who licks his hand and wipes his eyes repeatedly have allergies?

a doctor would know for sure, and I reccomend highly that one is seen real soon !!! unless he is showing other symptoms, like red itcy swollen eyes, runny nose etc.. I would not think allergies are a problem.. It sounds more like a nervous disorder maybe a mild form of turetts.. depeneds on the child... take this child to a doctor before eye damage is done........ God bless

Are the eyes really glossy or look like there watery, it sounds like it.
Maybe he saw the cat do it.... Or he feels like his eyes are dirty and wants to clean them... they may be a bit dry....or have eye boogers he wants out.... Ask him ...
MY SON WHO IS 3 1/2 ALSO DOES THAT. HE MAKES A FIST LIKE AND LICKS THE PART OF THE HAND ABOVE HIS THUMB. THEN WHIPS HIS EYES, FACE, WHATEVER. I THINK HE SEEN OUR CAT CLEANING HIS FACE. HE HAS SLACKED OFF IN DOING IT LATELY BUT THERE FOR A WHILE HE DID IT ALOT.
