Some will wash off, but if its stained it won't. Change the food to something that has no corn or wheat in it. While I'm at it, no bi-products too. Some people use peroxide but that dry the fur out. It has to be washed off. to prevent drying out the hair. I use Eye Envy powder after I wash that area. I have also heard you can use cornstarch, which I am going to try after my Eye envy powder is gone. I also give my poodle a spoonful of nonfat yogurt in the morning. The bacteria in yogurt is helpful. My girl tearing has diminished alot since getting yogurt. If you don't clean the area daily, it can become an infection.
first what kind of puppy? second u can wash it off, if you dont it will eventually stain the fur, if u choose to wash it off use warm water and baby shampoo if u get regular soap in any animals eyes it will burn the cornea. good luck
stains cannot be washed off. Some people use peroxicide, very careful not to get into dogs eyes!! To stop tearing problem, give doggy 1/2 a TUMS tablet per day. The calcium does something to the Ph in dogs tears.
