I prefer Claritin because it is non-drowsy and over-the-counter. Benadryl is great for really bad allergy attacks, but it makes me feel all drugged out and sleepy. I can use Claritin every day without any problems. It sometimes takes about 2 days for Claritin to really kick in well though.
Aerius is WONDERFUL :D
i use Claritin, but ended taking it after a trial and error period with anti-allergy medicines.
plain old Benadryl is good,at bedtime, but it is just as important to wash your eys and face well every morning, and hold a warm wet washcloth over the [closed] eyes and face 5 minutes.try this simple thing and see if it doesnt help. little things are important.

For itchy eyes I use Opticrom eye drops, which you can buy over the counter, and use I Talfast or Claritine for the sneezing.
