My wife got a cat. I got at the same time itchy eyes and nose. Is it a cold or am I allergic to the cat? If it is the cat how other than getting rid of the cat do I combat cat allergies? Sounds like allegies...you have two options....you can get Meds for it or get rid of the kittie....I would say try Meds first...then see if you have to go to the second... Good luck. Life a itch...;P I am allergic to cats and birds so this may be an allergy. If so you will have to get rid of the cat or take allergy medication every day. You will have to take medicine if it is the cat. You know allergy medicine,it can also be used for pets as well as pollen. allergy. get rid of the cat. the allergies will never go away. it's so not worth it. It could be either or. If you do believe it is the cat I would be check by an allergist or your doctor. If you are allergic they can prescribe medication that will help deal with the allergies. If you want to try like Benadryl or some other over the counter medication to see if that helps you should if your itchy eyes and nose get better than maybe it is the cat, but I would still check with a doctor to see if you are allergic. It could be a coincedance or you could be allergic to cats, my guess would be the latter. You may get used to it and you may not. :| Sounds like Benadryl time, maybe you will get used to the furry little critter. |
