I think oral health care has improved in Britain over the years...It used to be downright horrible...rarely did anyone get braces when needed...They were really only given basic care.....but you are right, they do not get the same treatment on a regular basis as they do here in America...I suppose it would improve if they had to pay....as the saying goes..." you get what you pay for"...and if your not paying for it....then you really aren't getting it.... Source(s): worked in England as a Dental Assistant...married an Englishman with only okay teeth whose parents have awful teeth...:-)
We don't have socialized medicine here, so naturally we have better health, and dental care. Even if we do have to pay a portion of it.
It's about oral hygiene. You have to brush and floss every day. It's also genetic, everyone knows Brits have bad teeth.
Why?

Let me see your teeth.
