Tx my home health nursing terminated me with oral notice in 5 days. I am fully covered bymedicare - disabled? |
Apparantly there are no Medicare controls over services by hhh providers. The aid I need is crucial to my life. it is a diffult procedure and they will probably blacklist me if I file a complaint. Anybody got any ideas. You have a right to know why they terminated your care. More than likely it is not the agency's fault but Medicare guidelines they have to follow. The agency has to follow certain guidelines and can't go beyond in order to keep their license. Also, you can talk to your doctor and maybe he can reorder home health again with your next visit to him. Also, if you have a new hospital stay the ball will begin rolling again. THE ISSUE WAS NOT 'MEDICARE NOT COVERING'! THE PATIENT IS ALSO A DIABETIC- THE DEVICE INSERTED INCORRECTLY, CAN CAUSE SWELLING; BRUISING; CUT OFF CIRCULATION, ETC.! IT IS A 'SERIOUS' PROBLEM AND THE PATIENT WAS 'WRONGFULLY' LET-GO! THE AGENCY WAS 'WRONG'! MEDICARE & THE DR. SAID SO! Medicare will only cover care home health providers for a certain about of time not forever. Home health providers can attempt to get a dianosis for some other illness that may be bothering you. You doctor has to be one to do referral to home health provider. He also has to be willing to sign any orders he/she and the provider may need to do to care for you. |
