Oral health and other health problems URGENT!!!? |
i am doing a project promoting oral health. i was wondering if there are ways in which poor oral care can lead to mental, physical, and social health problems. Did you know that the plaque on your teeth is the same plaque that clogs the arteries in your heart...therefore healthy teeth could also mean a healthy heart...for real....I learned that in nursing school. an abscess can cause death! all it takes is the abscess rupturing or leaking into the bloodstream and the patient dies. this is why it is so important to get in to your dentist right away if you begin to feel any dental pain, it can turn into something major so quickly. |
