Is it possible for heavy marijuana smoking to cause osteoarthritis in a person in their mid 20's?

or any other type of joint or spinal disc troubles? thank you

Gregory, there's been a lot of research about what marijuana use does to the body over a period of years, but osteoarthritis isn't among any findings I've ever read.

(Respiratory illnesses, stroke, heart disease, and lung cancer are connected.)

Osteoarthritis is a "wear & tear" type arthritis, so unless you hike mountains daily or jump on a stair master every time you are high, the two are not related.

It may be causing your paranoia though.

you know, i'm not a mary-j specialist but i don't think so. if you think you have osteoarthritis or you know you do, talk to your doctor. they can give you a more difinite answer for your situation. fact is, i don't know you or how your body reacts to things either so who knows but your doc. good luck!

No.

But that doesn't mean that you don't have those conditions.

I say though, if you don't get a little sun at last every other day, your body won't produce adequate amounts of vitamin d, and you bones will weaken. It might take months or even years, but just how long have you been addicted? Often, heavy marijuana smokers get kind of screwed up in the head, and if they are able, some of them may become socially avoidant. Make sure to get some sun every day.

maybe?

sorry i don't know but don't mind whoever put a thumbs down for my answer. keep smiling no matter what..right?
:)

I've never heard of this but that doesn't mean that it isn't possible. I would say it is possible but not probable. However, they are finding out newer things that mariquana causes everyday. Just because it hasn't been heard of doesn't mean it couldn't be possible. Hope I've helped.
