1.) Why do many people prefer to treat osteoarthritis with D-glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate rather than?


NSAIDS?

Because NSAIDS only relieve pain the D-glucosamine and Chondroitin slowly makes the joints not hurt as much by lubricating it. Slowly but surely you don't need pain meds as often.

D-glucosamine, chrondoitin sulfate are very good to help repair damaged cartilage as I have experienced myself. If you add MSN it is still better. These work on a long term basis as I have been using them for more than three years after surgical intervention on the left knee.
