I would like to hear from someone who has osteoarthritis in the neck?

This problem can make it difficult to turn my head sideways and at times you can hear a popping sound...if you have this problem would like to hear from you...I don't like to take those ante inflammation medicine and I've tried Glucosamine and it does not help. Thank you

Hello, yes I do. I have regular clicking conversations with myself. Sometimes at night it clicks so loud it wakes me up with a fright. Its a case of grin and bear it. The only thing to do is make sure you get plenty of calcium. Its not reversible, but you can slow it down with lots of calcium intake and other vitamins. When it gets sore I have a tablet called Celebrex, but have just read a write up in a magazine that they are like the Vioux tablets (not good for you or your heart). So am staying off them. Keep as active as possible so as not to allow the joints to stiffen. Also have it in my right hand and elbow. hereditry. You definitely are not alone. good luck.
you may have herniated disk/s in your neck. you need an mri to make that determination. there are certain exersizes you can do to help this but you need to have a physical therapist evaluate you. the last resort is surgery but be extremely careful as one wrong cut and you could become paralyzed.
2 herniated disks in my neck and it hurts basically all the time...........i just live with it and take prescription pain pills.
Golly, I didn't know my arthritis was confined to just my neck. lol It is where ever it feels like acting up on a certain day. All over the road.

Please be careful of Celebrex, it will throw you into heart failure. As Vioxx killed the 45 year old son of a friend. His heart just exploded and dark red blood poured out of his mouth.

Diet helps arthritis. Especially cut out all white foods. Sugar will make you ache. Try this. You are feeling pretty okay. Have something with sugar in, ice cream, cookies, candy. I guarantee you, you will be hurting in 10 minutes or less.

The best remedy is Ibuprofen, because that shrinks those inflammed tissues. Advil. But any Ibuprofen that works for you. They all have a little different formula. And a positive, happy attitude. Oh, to top it off, you could move to Arizona where the air is dry.
